Description:

This project was divided into 2 phases:

Phase One aims:

– Build the capacities of up to 20 employees from the National Employment Organization (NEO) and some other organizations/NGOs to use the approved model;

– Strengthen staff skills and capacity building in meeting management, collection, analysis, processing 000and dissemination of results related specifically to employment/labor data;

– Develop a report on skills forecasting for one specific sector in Lebanon (to be determined in accordance with NEO staff).

Phase Two Aims:

The aim is to introduce young people directly to the labor market trends and disciplines required through the implementation of youth orientation seminars

  • A Guide tailored for youth activists in NGOs and civil society on the various methods and tools for raising awareness amongst youth on occupations/career orientation, including direct application examples covering the five sectors covered by the Skills Forecasting Model project;
  • Training 20 trainers from NGOs and civil society organizations in different regions on this Guide;
  • Enhanced awareness of more than 250 young men and women in different regions of Lebanon on the trends of the labor market (including Syrian youth refugees);
